The first seventeen years of his life were spent much the same as any other teenager experiencing different things, finding girls and that sort of thing. The 17th July 1986 was the day that John had his accident and his life then took a different course. After a few years he got used to only having one arm, so that's when he decided to take up Martial Arts for 5 years. As if that wasn't demanding enough, John then moved on from there to Athletics (sprinting) and managed to get to the finals of both the 200m & 400m in the 1996 Atlanta Paralympic Games. |

| John got his first taste of amputee extras work whist in the Paralympian Team. In 1997 the Team was approached for anyone interested in playing the part of severly injured featured extras. John jumped at the chance and became smitten with the whole world of film and drama. His latest featured stunt extra role is in 28 Weeks Later (he gets his arm blown off!). | ||||||||||||||||||||

In 1998 John passed his bike test and has been riding Kawasaki sports bike ever since, with the latest edition to the collection a ZXR750 J1, which is now been rebuilt and restored to its original condition. John has modelled for medical journals and David Bailey. | ||||||||||||||||||||
