Peter was born without a foot. In order to get an artificial leg he had his leg amputated below the knee at the age of ten. This did not hinder or stop him from participating in all games and sports. He still maintains an active life.

His interests are fishing, clay pigeon shooting, gardening, quizzes and he has started taking flying lessons.

In 1980 Peter was a Cab Driver in 'The Jury', but his main claim to fame is being the Cab Driver in Vanessa Paradis video 'Joe Le Taxi'.
