Lynda was involved in a car accident whilst on holiday in June 2004. Two weeks after the accident an infection set into her right leg which resulted in it being amputated.

Her main hobby is riding pillion on a motorbike with her husband. In 2007 they travelled 800 miles around France in just a week. Lynda also enjoys travelling and visiting different countries taking in their cultures. Swimming is another hobby she enjoys.
