After reading about AinA in a magazine he contacted the organisation to look at joining to see if he could get invovled in films and TV work. He has not let the unfortunate railway accident in 1974 that resultd in Karl lossing his right leg stop him, he leads a active life, getting involoved in sport which includes Swimming, Football, cycling and squash.

Karl works as a prosthetist near his home town in the south of England.
