Paul had a motorcycle accident in 2006, on his 38th birthday of all days, trying to avoid a rabbit. This resulted in him losing his leg.

Despite his accident he still has a passion for motorcycling whether it be on or off road. He is also interested in classic cars, having restored a classic Ford two years ago, which he is looking forward to driving again.
