In 1982 on his bike and on his way to work as a policeman, Glyn collided with an articulated lorry, going under the rear wheels.

Glyn was in his thirties when this happened but it did not stop him from leading a very sporty and active life. He is a qualified PADI Divemaster. He continues to ride his motorcycle and has added mountain and racing cycling to his love of two wheeled transport. On a lighter note he enjoys paint-balling too.

He is an enthusiast in military history, regularly participating in 1940's re-enactments, usually as an R.A.F. bomber pilot.
