In August 2002 Christopher had a bike accident which left him suffering continual pain in his left leg. After four years and fed up with the constant pain, Christopher elected to have his left leg amputated above the knee.

His interests include mountain biking, walking, the cinema, wining and dining. He is currently planning a trip up Mont Blanc in France.
