Amputees in Action supports this developing and rewarding industry through Research and Development and by providing training.
Research and development of cutting edge prosthetics extend beyond cosmetic realism and into functional applications maximising the graphic integrity of a scene by creating opportunities for treatments to be performed directly onto the prosthetics without danger to the casualty. Training courses are provided to support emerging artist gain a solid foundation into techniques and skills and also provide current practitioners with opportunities to continue their development through workshops and technical seminars.
